Fund-Raising!

We have launched a major fund-raising project which started with two primary goals. The first goal was to get the main hall wood floor refinished and paid for. SUCCESS! The floor was refinished the last week of July into August. The funds to completely pay for the refinishing and the silicon ‘feet’ for all our chairs, totaling just under $16,000 had been raised by August 4th. We are so grateful for the generosity of our donors – many individuals, a few businesses and the Regional District Of Okanagan-Similkameen! We appreciate your generosity!

We are now on Part 2 of our fund-raising drive – to raise about $45,000 or more (exact figure not yet available) to update our kitchen. We already have the funds in place to replace the stove, dishwasher and fridge with new, energy-efficient units. We need funds to reconfigure the workflow for the concession area, to replace some of the older cabinetry, and to make pot-filling and hand-washing more convenient.

Donations can be accepted by etransfer to donate@oliverseniorcentre.com, by cash or cheque at the Centre, or we will happily come and pick up your donation – just give us a call at 250-498-6142!
