The Oliver Senior Centre Society promotes the mental, social, and physical well-being of older adults by providing opportunities for recreation, education, entertainment, and community engagement.

Programs and Activities
The Oliver Senior Centre Society offers a wide variety of recreational, social, fitness, arts, and educational activities throughout the year, including:
- Pool
- Social Coffee Gatherings
- Bingo
- Cards, including Bridge and Cribbage
- Indoor Walking
Seasonal activities (September through late spring/early summer) include:
- Ladies Keep Fit
- Co-Ed Cardio and Strength Classes
- Chair Fit Classes
- Line Dancing
- Carpet Bowling
- Floor Curling
Music is an important part of life at the Centre. The Oliver Senior Volunteer Band hosts an open Jam Session every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. and provides music for our Saturday Morning Dance at 10:00 a.m. from September through June.
Throughout the season, members and guests can also enjoy special events such as community dinners, Music Bingo, Trivia Nights, seasonal celebrations, dances, and other social gatherings.
For those seeking a quieter activity, drop-in visitors are welcome to relax with a book, work on a jigsaw puzzle, or visit with friends.
The Centre also proudly supports the arts through ongoing exhibitions and sales in partnership with local artists and arts organizations. Our Main Hall often serves as a community art gallery and is open to the public whenever the hall is not in use for scheduled programs. Please refer to our calendar for gallery viewing hours.
Hall Rentals
The Oliver Senior Centre offers affordable and flexible rental space for meetings, workshops, celebrations, family gatherings, community events, and special occasions. Our facility features a spacious hall, tables and chairs, a fully equipped kitchen, and ample parking. The main hall has a capacity of 255, with a flexible multi-use annex space for 114 more, totalling 369 in the combined space.
Whether you are planning a small gathering or a larger event, our welcoming venue provides a comfortable and convenient setting in the heart of Oliver. Rental rates and availability vary depending on the space required and the nature of the event. Please contact the Centre for more information or to inquire about booking your date.
Supporting Our Community
The Oliver Senior Centre Society is proud to support our community by hosting a variety of educational courses, workshops, and health clinics. We also provide scholarships to graduates of Oliver Senior Secondary School and make charitable contributions to local organizations, programs, and community activities.
The Society is operated through the dedication of our volunteers and guided by a Board of Directors committed to the responsible stewardship of the Centre. Volunteers are always welcome and play an essential role in our success.
