NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
DATE: MONDAY, AUGUST 11th at 10:30 am
AT: Oliver Senior Centre, 5876 Airport Street, Oliver, BC
Our Bylaws state, in Article 5,
“Section 4: Vacancies in Office: In the event of a vacancy in any office, the members of the Society shall elect a person to fill that vacancy at a Special General Meeting to be held within two (2) weeks of such an occurrence.”
Kristy Sutherland, our Secretary, resigned her office on Friday, August 1st. We therefore require a Special General Meeting to fil that vacancy as required by our Bylaw above. We do have a candidate available to fill this office for the balance of the term (until Dec 31st) and another candidate to fill a director’s seat on the Board.
We will need a quorum (minimum of 15 members) present. I promise the meeting will be short and will only deal with what is urgent. This is not a regular General Meeting and will not include the usual agenda.
