November Calendar and President’s Message
President’s Message for November 2023
Are you ready for winter? I’m not, but there were a few flurries at my place this morning!
Our first BINGO MARATHON IS THIS SATURDAY, OCT 28TH. Doors open at 9:00. See our facebook and website posters for details. Please remember:
1. We do not accept $50 & $100 bills. In fact, for this date we would be thrilled if you bring more $10, $5, $2, and $1 pieces.
2. The police have started watching parking in the area on Bingo days – do not block access to their parking, park along yellow lines or park where signs say don’t. They will ticket and tow. Do not park in the designated executive parking. We will ask you to move.
3. There will be food available through the concession all day, including hot dogs or soup and crackers at lunch and a lasagna or shepherd’s pie with coleslaw and garlic bread for supper.
I’m feeling a little better, thanks for all you concerns and best wishes. I’m slowly recovering from shingles and wouldn’t with this pain on anyone! Go and get vaccinated if you haven’t been!! My unending gratitude to Moira Bryce, our secretary, who has picked up my load and has helped me start to ‘work from home’ as I recover.
Our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING is Monday, November 20th at 1:30. Our guest speaker will be Kai Kaplan, the FireSmart Coordinator for Oliver, who will introduce the FireSmart principles and prepare us for a full FireSmart information session in January or February.
