We NEED more volunteers! Our current areas needing help are:
1. Receptionist Starting the week of September 2nd for 1/2 day weekly on Thursday afternoons.
2. Bingo setup and takedown – this is a physically demanding job setting up tables and chairs and putting them all away after Bingo. Setup is Friday mornings at 9:45 am sharp, and takedown is about 3:15 pm – or as soon as Bingo finishes.
3. We are looking for Directors and officers – we have at least one vacancy on the Board right now, and will have several vacancies, including Executive positions, at our November General Election meeting for 2025.
We ALWAYS need pens! If you find you have a collection of spare pens that you will never use, please drop some off next time you come to the Centre!
We are so grateful to:
– All of the donors who made it possible to pay for the maple floor refinishing, and are now contributing to the kitchen update fund.
– Our cleaner, Robert, who has brought our standards back up after the failed cleaning services last spring. He has also stripped and waxed the floors in the floor curling annex, the stage, music room, coffee room and lounge/library. The rest will be done over the next few months as time permits.
– Val Crowhurst and her small team from Ladies Keep Fit, who came in to help clean the kitchen while we were closed, and
– Everyone who helped put it all back together!
Enjoy the last of the summer guests, gardens, golf and grandchildren!
